Tabletop Machine Embroidery Workshop Class

Class Description: Instructional, hands-on workshop class from set up to tabletop embroidery machine lettering & designs.

In this class, you will learn the following:

• Overall care; cleaning & maintenance
• How to thread
• Installation & maintenance of needles
• Bobbin care; how to install pre-wound bobbins; how to wind a bobbin; bobbin education
• Machine alignment
• Hooping, placement & general info on stabilizers
• How to use the built in digitized designs

• Location: In person classes The Sewing Station 401 West Pecan Street, Suite E Pflugerville, TX 78660
• Class Cost: $200
• Prerequisite: Any Background with basic sewing is a benefit but not required

Specific Material List: 

• Embroidery Machine w/power cord (you will need to bring your machine onsite)
• Machine Manual (if you do not have a physical manual, please bring your downloaded version)
• Computer w/power cord, USB Key & Embroidery Software must be already loaded
• Embroidery Thread (please bring a variety of embroidery thread colors; we will be practicing lettering & design)
• Bobbins for your Machine
• Marker or Fabric Chalk (we have some onsite if you do not have available)
• Machine Needle
• Iron & Ironing Board (you will be utilizing our equipment onsite)
• Hoop Frames for your machine
• Sewing Machine Toolbox – (Note: Supply Kits are available at The Sewing Station Learning Center Online Boutique):
  • Hand Stitch Needles
  • Scissors for cutting fabric
  • Snippers for cutting threads (specifically embroidery curved Snippers)
  • Seam ripper
  • Tape measure or ruler
  • Straight Pins (25)
• Fabrics –
  • Utilizing ½ yard of felt
  • Any cotton fabrics for testing embroidery
  • Light Weight Tear Away Stabilizer
